Acting US spy chief defends handling whistle-blower complaint

Explosive allegations against US President Donald Trump have been revealed in a whistle-blower’s complaint – which has now been made public.

It details how Trump tried to persuade his Ukrainian counterpart to investigate his rival, Joe Biden.

The whistle-blower says White House officials then tried to “lockdown” politically-sensitive information about Trump’s phone call with Volodymyr Zelenskiy.
