ANTIGUAN MP MICHAEL BROWNE ENCOURAGES LABOUR PARTY TO TELL THEIR STORY IN ORDER TO WIN THE NEXT ELECTIONS
23rd May, 2018
BASSETERRE, St. Kitts (KYSS FM) – Members of the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party received valuable insight into measures which can be taken to ensure their organisation’s success in the next general elections whenever they are called.
Speaking at the party’s 86th annual National conference on Sunday 20th May, Antigua/Barbuda parliamentarian, Hon. Michael Browne, stated that the history of St. Kitts and Nevis is the story of the Labour party and added that the strength of the party’s story on its own is more than enough to regain the government.
Under the theme, “Talk Up, What’s Your Story”, Hon. Browne continued that the important story of the St. Kitts and Nevis Labour movement must become common knowledge at home and shared with the world.
He stressed that the Labour movement has left a significant legacy in its contributions to education, greater economic opportunities for the people of St. Kitts and Nevis, better healthcare, advanced infrastructure and much more, all of which were made possible through the foresight and hard work of the SKNLP.
The Antigua/Barbuda minister of Education, Science and Technology continued that it is important for young people and first-time voters in St. Kitts and Nevis in particular to become aware of the very significant contribution of the SKNLP to the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.
“It is our job to ensure the story of Labour is told,” said Browne.
