Autopsies confirm two died as result of drowning
Autopsies performed on two bodies over the end of last week confirm that both deceased died of drowning.
“An autopsy was performed on the body of 23-year-old Marcus Rubaine of Saddlers by Resident Pathologist, Dr. Adrian Nunez, on September 13. He concluded that death was as a result of asphyxia due to drowning,” one Police statement revealed.
“An autopsy was performed on the body of 72-year-old Gregory Dean Vematsu of California, U.S.A by Resident Pathologist, Dr. Adrian Nunez, on September 13. He concluded that death was as a result of asphyxia due to drowning,” another statement provided by authorities read.
The initial Police report stated that Rubaine and one other person went diving at Lavington Bay at about 7 a.m., on September 7. Rubaine experienced difficulty at sea and drowned. The report also indicated that his body was removed from the water by a civilian.
In relation to Vematsu’s death, authorities indicated that he went snorkelling with his wife at Banana Beach, on September 12, when he experienced difficulty at sea and drowned.
