Bucks win conference final opener against Raptors

The Milwaukee Bucks looked to be on the verge of losing their second-straight series opener on Wednesday night, but Brook Lopez decided he wasn’t going to let that happen. Milwaukee’s center went for 29 points and 11 rebounds, knocking down 4-of-11 3-pointers in the Bucks’ 108-100 Game 1 win over the Toronto Raptors.

Giannis Antetokounmpo added 24 points, 14 rebounds, six assists and three blocks in the win, while Kawhi Leonard’s 31 points and Kyle Lowry’s 30 points paced Toronto. Lowry played one of the best playoff games of his career, but it wasn’t enough to will his team to victory.

The Raptors, who have a history of dropping Game 1s in the playoffs, will try to even the series on Friday, when they’ll face the Bucks in Game 2.
