As the Police continue to grapple with the recent spate of homicides in St. Kitts, they have revealed that several arrests have been made in relation to the murder of 28-year-old Eric Thompson, of February 11, and a shooting incident on Maynard Street, the following day (February 12).
“Ten persons are currently in Police custody assisting with investigations into two recent shooting incidents that occurred in the Ponds Pasture area,” a Police release said.
“Being investigated are an early morning shooting incident on Tuesday, February 12, in which an unknown assailant(s) fired several shots at a home and an incident that occurred Monday night (February 11),” the statement continued.
“They are also being questioned about their involvement in organized crime in the Federation,” the release concluded.
It is not clear if any among the ten were eventually charged.
There has been no confirmation, from the Police, of any arrests in connection to five other murders that have occurred in the past week.
