Basseterre, ST KITTS (KYSS) — Former Prime Minister, Right Honourable Dr. Denzil Douglas, says the records show that the Labour Party administration which he led for nearly twenty years had St. Kitts and Nevis moving steadily forward on the path of economic prosperity.
During his Kyss FM radio programme, Ask The Leader, Dr. Douglas said pursuing economic development and stability had been the main priority of his Labour Party administration as this remains the best path to ensuring the empowerment of youth in particular.
Dr. Douglas continued that it is as a result of this pursuit that the Labour administration utilised the country’s resources to establish development programmes that assisted the nation’s youth in achieving academic excellence.
The former finance minister added while in his opinion the Team Unity administration’s leadership has taken the country’s economic stability off-track, the records clearly show that the Labour Party administration was not guilty of this error.
