Basseterre, St Kitts, November 11, 2019 – An emergency meeting was held on Saturday, November 9, between an officer of the police high command and alleged gang members, according to a source.
The source said the meeting was held at the police training school amid reports that the self-imposed Peace Treaty could be in jeopardy following last week’s arrest of several gang members in the St Peter’s/Monkey Hill.
The alleged gang members were taken into custody following two days of shooting in the Monkey Hill/St Peter’s area.
Shots were fired Wednesday night and Thursday morning over what is said to be ownership of the so-called Peace Van as part of the Peace Treaty.
Police are yet issue a statement on the matter.
