St. Kitts and Nevis Fire and Rescue Service is celebrating nineteen years of existence.
As part of their celebrations, the organization held an open day in the heart of Basseterre, on May 15, to showcase equipment and appliances- including trucks- that are used by the brigade. The items on display also highlighted how the service has developed throughout the years.
Acting Fire Chief Everette O’Garro was visibly pleased with the achievement and spoke briefly about the growth of his organization.
The acting chief also provided advice to the general public in reference to fire prevention especially in this very dry season.
St. Kitts and Nevis Fire and Rescue Service has over 100 men and women who are dedicated to serving the community. The organization is already in preparation mode for its annual summer camp for children.
