Hong Kong pro-democracy leaders face seven years in prison
Nine pro-democracy leaders in Hong Kong are facing up to seven years in prison.
The campaigners have been found guilty for their role in the “Umbrella” protests, which paralysed the city centre five years ago.
They demanded increased freedoms from Chinese government rule in Beijing.
The protests became known as the “Umbrella movement” after people used umbrellas to shield themselves from tear gas fired by the police.
