Local businessman bailed after months behind bars; has August court appearance
Popular local business man Ashley Allers was granted bail last Friday, July 5, after being in custody since January 21.
The businessman was in custody because of his violation of previous bail conditions, which were set on December 26, 2018.
Police, earlier today, revealed the conditions of his bail.
“He was granted bail in the sum of $100,000 with the conditions that: (1): he is to report to the Basseterre Police Station twice weekly; (2) observe a daily curfew; (3) no contact should be made with the Virtual Complainant; (4) he should not come within 100 meters of the Virtual Complainant; (5) he is to surrender all travel documents; (6) he is to surrender any and all firearms in his possession; and (7) keep the peace and be of good behavior,” the Police statement said.
Allers has to appear in court on August 23.
