LULL IN VIOLENT CRIME BROKEN BY 18TH HOMICIDE ON NEVIS

The almost two month long lull in violent crime has come to an end on Nevis.

Police confirmed that Benjamin Joseph has succumbed to gunshot wounds he sustained this past Saturday night.

Joseph, a Pinney’s Road resident and owner of Philisha’s Guest House, was attacked by a lone gunman as he exited his vehicle at around 10pm on Saturday 19th August.

He was wounded by multiple gun shots as he sought cover from the onslaught after which he was transported to the Alexandra Hospital by a family member.

Benjamin Joseph’s death brought the federal homicide rate to 18 for the year 2017.
