More gun shots ring out in Shadwell
More gunshots pierced the still of the evening in the Shadwell community last evening, February 12, according to reliable sources.
There has not been any report of anyone being hit as a result of the fire-burst.
The regularity of the sounds of gunshots has triggered mass concerns throughout the federation and it points squarely to a frightening reality – lots of illegal firearms.
In recent years, the vast majority of murders in St. Kitts and Nevis have been by the gun and there is increasing doubt as to when the scourge of “gun play” will be arrested.
All four murders for 2019 have been as a result of gun violence.
Meanwhile, the Police have confirmed that Eric Thompson’s death was as a result of multiple gunshot wounds to the body.
The autopsy was performed by Forensic Pathologist, Dr. Valery Alexandrov, yesterday (February 12.)
Police continue to search for clues in Thompson’s murder as well as leads into who is responsible for the double murder on February 8.
