More than half of the 730 workers of the Four Seasons Resort on Nevis will be affected by the temporary closure of the hotel for significant refurbishment in 2019. The resort will be closed for four months from June 1 until October 1.
This was disclosed by Premier of Nevis Hon. Mark Brantley during his budget presentation.
The Premier indicated that owners of the property have committed to approximately US$40 million worth of renovations to the world renowned accommodation.
He revealed that the break is necessary to attend to some major projects and it also came out of necessity to avoid further complaints from guests about disturbances related to ongoing work.
Premier Brantley disclosed that prior to the announcement of the resorts closure for renovations, the resort’s management and his government held extensive dialogue.
The Four Seasons Nevis is highly acclaimed for its five star dining experience.
