Plans are still afoot to construct a multi-million indoor sporting complex.
Confirmation of this came from the Minister with responsible for Sport, Hon. Shawn Richards, who was addressing concerns of an apparent stall in plans.
When questioned about the cost of the project, Min Richards, who is also the Deputy Prime Minister, provided an estimate of EC$50 million dollars. He also hinted of slow progress in relation to such a project because of government’s involvement with other projects.
Sporting development within the federation is in the spotlight, on the heels of the PanAmerican Games and other upcoming major sporting events, including the Olympics.
