There has no reported injuries or property damage after the Old Road river/ ghaut overflowed its banks.
Heavy overnight and early morning rain resulted in an overflow from the Verchild’s hillside Sunday morning, April 28.
Debris and mud rolled down the hillside and across the island main road halting traffic in both directions.
The force of the water also pushed mud and debris into nearby residences and made its way towards the sea.
Motorists were also urged to be cautious while traversing roads throughout the island
