Omax Bye acquitted of Pizza shop owner’s murder
Omax Bye has been acquitted of the murder of Gregory Mills.
A jury returned a verdict of not guilty (10 to 2) earlier this afternoon, January 25.
Bye, a free man now, walked out to the embrace of a number of his “friends” who were waiting in the Independence Square area.
Police maintained a heavy presence around the Lee L Moore Judicial Complex throughout this week, as the case was being tried.
Gregory Mills, a young Pizza shop owner, was gunned down on May 9, 2017, in the Gillards Meadow area.
A young lady, who apparently was in the car with him at the time and was seen as the only eyewitness, did not testify during the trial.
