One man injured in shooting incident
Police are searching for a suspect involved in a shooting incident that occurred on September 18, which left one man injured.
The name of the victim has been given as Ivan Dunrod, a 53 year old male of West Bourne Ghaut.
“Some time after 5 p.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2019, Dunrod was by a shop in Keys Village when he was approached and shot by an assailant,” the Police report read.
Dunrod ran from the scene and met a police officer who was in the area. The Officer then transported Dunrod to the JNF Hospital in the Police vehicle, where he (the victim) was treated for injuries to his arm.
The shooting incident has sparked curious social responses, especially since shooting incidents have been apparently in check because of an apparent truce among gang members. Many are concerned that the incident may test the fabric of the “peace treaty.”
