As relatives and friends mourn the loss of Stuart James David of New River Estate, Nevis- a victim of a vehicular accident- Police have revealed that one person is in custody, assisting with the investigations into the collision.
According to Police, the incident happened just after 2 p.m. yesterday, February 5.
“It involved motor bike P922, which was owned and ridden by Stuart James David of New River Estate, and pickup truck P2948, which is owned and was being driven by Orville Bartlette of Cole Hill, Gingerland. Investigations so far have revealed that motor bike P922 was traveling from Gingerland heading towards Charlestown, while pickup truck P2948 was traveling in the opposite direction. Upon approaching Chicken Stone P922 and P2948 collided. David was pronounced dead at the scene,” a Police statement revealed.
The deceased was 44 years old.
This is the first known road fatality for St. Kitts and Nevis for 2019.
The Traffic Department of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force continues to implore motorists and pedestrians to be cautious as they utilize public roadways.
