Pathologist concludes single shot to neck killed Jevon Brandy
Charlestown, Nevis, March 5, 2020 – The federation’s third murder victim for this year was killed by a single gunshot.
A police statement Thursday said an autopsy was performed on the body of 20-year-old Jevon Brandy of Brown Hill on Wednesday March 4 by Forensic Pathologist Dr Valery Alexandrov “who concluded that death was as a result of a single gunshot wound to the neck.”
One person is in Police custody assisting with investigations.
Brown’s body was found lying along the roadside in Neu Gent Heights, Nevis on March 1.
Brown’s killing brings to three the number of murders for this year.
On February 12, police confirmed that human remains found in a house in Boyd’s Village were that of 61-year-old Frederick Robinson. Frederick had been reported missing on February 3, 2020.
Twenty-nine-year old Clive Farara of Infirmary Road was charged for Robinson’s murder on February 11.
On January 24, 28-year-old Kennedy Isles of Taylor’s Village, who resided at Sandown Road, New Town, was murdered outside his home when he was approached by an armed assailant who opened fire at him.
Police have charged 28-year-old K’Shando Saunders of Dorset Village for the murder of Isles.
