Police have confirmed a late Sunday night armed robbery on St. Kitts but up to press time were still in the process disseminating information on the specifics of the incident.
However, it was also confirmed that no one was injured during the robbery.
Reports reaching this media house on April 8 indicated that a Chinese restaurant at Baker’s Corner in Basseterre was robbed the night before (Sunday night).
According to credible reports, three armed and masked men committed the robbery.
It is not immediately known if the robbers took cash or if gunshots were discharged.
One eyewitness said police were on the scene after 10 pm and questioned the employees and persons in the area.
The armed robbery comes on the heels of two armed robberies in Nevis last week.
