SKNLP TAKING GOVERNMENT & ELECTORAL COMMISSION TO COURT OVER ELECTORAL TAMPERING ALLEGATIONS

5th July, 2018

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts (KYSS FM) – The St. Kitts/Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP) has announced its intention to pursue legal action against the government and other parties they allege are directly involved in a slew of illegal activities at the Electoral Office.

Deputy Leader of the party Hon. Marcella Liburd has said that the SKNLP has reached the end of the line in allowing the government to manipulate the electoral system for their own gain.

To remedy this this, Hon. Liburd announced on Wednesday that her organisation intends to utilize every possible option, including legal and protest action, to seek redress.

She continued that the alleged illegal and immoral acts taking place at the Electoral Office are designed to manipulate the voters lists to deliver an easy win to the Team Unity coalition as a pre-emptive strike against coming boundary changes.
