BASSETERRE, St. Kitts (KYSS FM) – St. Kitts and Nevis has formalised diplomatic ties with the Kingdom of eSwatini, formerly known as Swaziland.
In a ceremony at the Caribbean nation’s High Commission in London earlier this week, a joint communiqué was signed between eSwatini and the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.
The ceremony was attended by High Commissioner of St. Kitts and Nevis to the United Kingdom, Kevin Isaac and High Commissioner of eSwatini to the United Kingdom Christian Nkambule.
Over several years, the Federation has actively been seeking to deepen and increase its relations with the African community.
Ambassador Nkambule said his southern Africa country is committed to building stronger diplomatic links with St. Kitts and Nevis.
During the meeting both nations also agreed to sign a two-way visa exemption agreement in the near future.
Both high commissioners extended invitations to their counterparts to visit their respective countries.
