Students of the Maurice Hillier Elementary School are being encouraged to read more.
For the entire week the school celebrated its “NO TV” week. This was the 19th edition of the event and it was held under the theme “Lego your mind be a creative kind.”
The main objective of the week is to encourage students- and parents- to put away electronic gadgets and focus more on reading.
The culminating activity for the week was a march through the streets of Basseterre, as students showcased creative signs to encourage their peers to read more.
Principal Petergay Crawford gave a brief summary of the week of activities.
