Athletes filled with positive vibes; energy contagious
The four athletes from St. Kitts and Nevis who are competing at the PanAmerican Games, in Lima, Peru are brimming with confidence ahead of competition, which is just under a week away.
Jason Rogers and Shenel Crooke, both 100m sprinters, Reanda Richards the 400m hurdler and Jermaine Francis, the high jumper, have not only generated a high level of assurance but they have also made sure that their high energy level is contagious.
When the Acting President of the St. Kitts and Nevis Olympic Committee (SKNOC), Dennis “Freddy” Knight, says that his spirit is elevated by their energy, it says a lot.
Knight paid a courtesy call on the athletes, as a show of support for them as they prepare for their big stage.
Knight indicated that he was satisfied with the available amenities at the village, which are critical to the athletes’ comfort.
Athletic events begin on August 4 but St. Kitts and Nevis athletes compete from August 6, in the 100m sprints and the high jump event is on August 9.
