The Police have confirmed that they are investigating the “sudden death” of an elderly male in the Dieppe Bay area, on Wednesday January 16. No further update has been given in relation to the ongoing investigations.
Credible sources, however, have indicated that the deceased was from the Molineux area and he was accustomed to visiting a friend in the Dieppe Bay area and taking sea baths.
Reports also suggests that the deceased was complaining of “not feeling well” before going into the sea.
Informed sources say that as the deceased man was coming out of the water that his friend realized that he was laboring and the friend rushed to assist him.
Reports further state that the deceased collapsed while being assisted by the friend.
The ambulance was summoned, however, the man was pronounced dead shortly after.
The incident happened some minutes after 3 p.m.
