UN condemns use of force in Venezuela

The UN has joined a chorus of condemnation against the use of force by Venezuela’s military, after violence broke out at various points along the country’s border on Saturday.

Former Chilean President Michelle Bachelet said Venezuela’s National Guard and pro-government paramilitary groups had used undue force in trying to stop foreign aid from entering the country.

However, Venezuela’s government disputes her version of events.
