Kittitians and Nevisians who tuned into their television to watch their star athletes at the parade of nations at the Pan American Games opening ceremony in Lima, Peru, on July 26, were part of a global audience of approximately 400 million who enjoyed the grand spectacle.
Viewers from St. Kitts and Nevis were among 400 million people who watched the opening of the PanAmerican Games, in Lima, Peru, on July 26.
This was disclosed by Alberto Valenzuela, the Director General of the PanAmerican Games, during an assessment press conference on August 3.
Over 80% of tickets for the various sporting events have been sold and ticket sales have peaked at approximately forty thousand, Valenzuela revealed during his brief presentation. Ticket sales so far equate to over half a million spectators.
