WAHS closed Wednesday after institution was evacuated due to electrical concerns
Reports that an electrical fault has forced the evacuation and closure of the Washington Archibald High School (WAHS).
According to information on social media it is a problem that has been reoccurring for a while despite attempts to resolve the issues which have worsened overtime.
With intermittent showers students of that school were seeking shelter at the nearby Beach-Allen Primary School and the Basseterre High School.
“They can’t go back in the school. So they were also out on the field between Beach-Allen Primary School and WASH,” a social media comment informed.
Education officials visited the school and ordered the immediate closure until further notice.
