Eastern Caribbean Forecast: Hurricane Maria is forecast to cause
hurricane and tropical storm conditions across the Dominica Republic.
Meanwhile, rain bands associated with Maria will continue to generate
showers, thunderstorms and strong gusty winds across Puerto Rico and, to a
lesser extent, the Virgin Islands. Similar weather will take place across Haiti.
Across Trinidad and Tobago, low level convergence will likely result in
showers and thunderstorms late tonight. Elsewhere, apart from sea breeze
convergence giving rise to afternoon showers and possibly thunderstorms,
mostly dry weather will prevail under partly cloudy skies with, at most, a
moderate chance of showers.
