Weather forecast for St. Kitts & Nevis: Notwithstanding the
presence of a surface ridge across the area, cloudy periods and showers are
likely mainly across the British Virgin Islands and to a lesser extent the
Leeward Islands as a result of a deep layer trough west of Hispaniola. Possible
rainfall total for the forecast period is 2 to 6 mm (0.1 to 0.2 inch)
Weather today: Partly Sunny with a 30 percent low chance of showers.
Weather tonight: Partly cloudy with a 30 percent or low chance of overnight
Eastern Caribbean forecast: A deep layer trough system west of
Hispaniola will continue to generate some unsettled weather across Puerto
Rico, the Virgin Islands and the Leeward Islands. Cloudy spells and periodic
showers can be expected throughout the day with a slight to moderate chance
of thunderstorms across the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico respectively.
Another surface trough further south will also generate similar weather
conditions across the Southern Windward Islands, Barbados and Trinidad and
Tobago late this morning into this afternoon. Elsewhere and otherwise, mostly
dry weather will prevail, with at most, a moderate chance of showers.
