Young man awaits sentencing for MoneyGram robbery

On June 7, thirty one year old Inebo Hendrickson will know his fate after being found guilty of the May 20, 2016 armed robbery of MoneyGram.

Hendrickson, of Malone Avenue, Basseterre, was found guilty of the offence, at a High Court hearing on April 11 and has since been remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison, to await his sentencing.

Two men pulled off the daring robbery, just about two years ago, in broad daylight.

According to a Police report, two men in disguises, rushed the establishment as the doors were opened for business and took off with an undisclosed sum of money.

It was later determined that the two were among customers waiting for MoneyGram to open, that Friday morning.

Surveillance footage from the business place revealed two men with dark sunglasses and baseball caps. The images were then broadcasted to the public.

Shortly after, on May 27, Hendrickson and Reynauldo Jeffers of Buckley’s Site were charged with the armed robbery.

Jeffers was gunned down in June, last year. A police report stated that a lone gunman on a bicycle was the culprit.

It is not yet known if anyone has been held accountable for his murder.
