Basseterre, St. Kitts. November 30, 2018.- Young people a have critical role in stimulating positive change. This was the view of several youths as they participated in the youth month march and rally through the streets of Basseterre, on November 30.
The march was the culminating activity for the youth month celebrations.
Several participants expressed excitement at being in a position to effect change and were convinced that a unified approach can make huge change.
One you man indicated that participating in the march is one way of letting his friends know that it is not too early in their lives to effect change. He also liked the idea that challenge was issued for young people to know more about their basic human rights.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Youth, Hon. Shawn Richards, challenged the community to lend support to young people as they make positive steps forward.
Among the activities for the month were youth entrepreneurship sessions, the 25 Most Remarkable Teens awards ceremony and youth parliamentary sitting.
